About Dayton Street Apizza

Dayton Street Apizza is a pizza restaurant in New Haven, Connecticut. It is listed at 60 Dayton St, New Haven, CT 06515, which places it among the local businesses of New Haven that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as delivery restaurant, so it may cover more than the name suggests.

Pizza places in the United States run from a counter with two stools and a stack of boxes to a full sit-down pizzeria with a bar, and most neighborhood shops do all three things at once: dine-in, takeout and delivery. Ordering by phone is still common and often faster than an app, and many independents charge less when you call direct because there is no platform fee. Sizes are usually listed in inches (a small around 10", a large 14", an extra-large 16" or more), and a large feeds two to three adults. Slices are sold from a display case at New York-style counters and reheated to order; whole pies take 15-25 minutes at a busy shop. Most spots take cards and mobile pay, though a few older pizzerias remain cash-only, so check the door or the listing before you order.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 11:30 am–9 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Dayton Street Apizza at (203) 389-2454; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Its website is daytonstreetapizza.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

New Haven is in Connecticut, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around New Haven is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Connecticut's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Great location but poor customer service. I ordered 4 slices of Pepperoni pizza and it took 45 minutes to receive my order after I already paid for it. I was told that I had to wait for 10 minutes, which ended up being an additional 35 minutes. I noticed that there was 4 slices sitting on top of the oven which I predicted was the one's that I ordered. However, the slices just sat there. I guess that I wasn't supposed to come back that fast to pickup my order. The two cashiers were acting weird because I suspected something wasn't right, and sure enough it wasn't. I questioned the way the pizza looked and they just lied too me. The pizza was slightly warm and looked awful. Cheese looked old and the Pepperoni didn't even stick to the cheese. I asked for my money to be returned to my account and was offered a free soda instead, which I declined. The manager or supervisor was very unprofessional and just laughed like it was funny. I wouldn't recommend this establishment to anyone. You know who you are and what you're doing to your customers is wrong. I guess that the present time is showing that history doesn't repeat itself because the Pizza at Dayton Street Apizza sucks.

Great pizza! Service is pretty quick compared to other pizza shops in Westville. Edit: service is pretty rough. Now, phone is often either busy or just rings. When I do order, I'm quoted a time and it takes much longer than that. Started going elsewhere.
